What's your Favorite Fair Memory?
The Nevada County Fair brought animals, monster trucks, and a new water ride to the scenic Nevada County Fairgrounds. We love everything about the fair. We love the kids showing off their prize animals. We love the blue ribbon quilts and honey and fairy gardens. We love visitors patting horses. We love the midway lights through the pines at twilight. We love the roar of monster trucks. Most of all, we love the people. This community is truly the magic of the fair.
A Favorite Photo
One of the iconic features of our fair is the marigolds. We walked the path the first night. And we paid attention to little moments happening all around us. This moment was especially precious. We shared it on Facebook and learned that the little girl was having a rough day due to the heat. The flowers distracted her out of a meltdown. We sent them the image as a gift to remember all the sweet interactions :)
That's what makes our fair special. That small town community. And this year the clouds swept in with nice cool temperatures over the weekend. What a treat!
